Beastie Boys by Ricky Powell

"That's The Creasties' in LA, summer of 1988. They were living in the Hills and they rented a house nicknamed 'The G Spot'. after the married couple they rented it from, The Grasshoff's.They were working on their second album, Paul's Boutique. They used to fly me out regularly to hang with them and take pics. I took this picture from Adrock's bedroom which was this room-hut built in to this little hill, and the window in his room looked directly into the middle of the pool, underwater. This shot was selected for the album sleeve. They also ended up writing that lyric, 'Homeboy throw in the towel, yer girl got dicked by Ricky Powell'.  Good times."
