Jackson Browne, September 1983

“I began by writing about myself,” Jackson Browne told Rolling Stone in 1983, “but after a certain point, celebrity catches up with you, and it looks like you’re opening your life like a book. That’s not so great. Not great at all.” With the release of Lawyers in Love, Browne would don the blue leather jacket he wears in this Aaron Rapaport shot – plus matching blue leather shoes – and turn away from the singer-songwriter template he helped create, accentuating his rocker persona through much of the Eighties.
