Joe Giron is a Las Vegas-based photographer who has freelanced in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years. Working with musicians, film and television celebrities, Joe has covered magazine shoots, live and studio assignments, and promotional artwork sessions for record labels, merchandise and management companies.
Throughout the 1980's, Joe worked as a photojournalist for major daily newspapers in Dallas and Seattle. He has also covered freelance photojournalism assignments for national and international publications. In December 2005, he began photographing professional poker tournaments, as well as other gaming related commercial and editorial assignments. He currently heads the Official Photography Team at the World Series of Poker and is the World Poker Tour’s Final Table photographer.
Joe has shot a wide range of performers including Nirvana, Green Day, U2, Stone Temple Pilots, Eminem, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains & Metallica.
He was the official photographer for the heavy metal band, Pantera, documenting their career from their Texas “club” days until the tragic death of their guitar player, Dimebag Darrell Abbott in 2004.
A versatile photographer, Joe is comfortable in the photo studio, on the movie or television set, at a concert, or on location.
