Kevin Estrada dreamed of being a rock photographer ever since he was a kid growing up in Southern California. All of his friends wanted to be Eddie Van Halen, but he wanted to be the guy shooting photos of Eddie Van Halen.
"Rock concerts gave me a thrill like nothing else, and I seemed to always want to hold on to that moment and make it last forever," says Kevin.
Kevin has photographed many of the biggest rock musicians - in concert, backstage, on the road and in the studio. He started out collecting gig flyers, concert jerseys, tour programs and eventually moved into photography. As a pre-teen, he smuggled his camera into Van Halen shows; as a professional, he had the opportunity to shoot in the studio with Johnny Cash.
"Rock music changed my life and has given me many of my greatest memories," says Kevin. "I’ve spent the last three decades of my life documenting rock and roll history – one frame at a time - and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share my work with the world."
