New York-based Rob Loud is an editorial photographer specializing in music, sports and entertainment photography.
Rob always had a love for live music. Growing up in Long Island, he would sneak into New York City clubs like Lion’s Den or Wetlands to see his favorite bands. In 2004 he moved to Hawaii for a year to reassess his professional plans. During his travels he became interested in photography while documenting his friends and their adventures. When he returned home to New York, he enrolled in a postgraduate photography class and workshop at the School of Visual Art. He also landed an intern position in the photo department of Forbes magazine and through that connection met an assignment editor from WireImage. Rob nagged her till she began throwing last minute assignments his way. With minimal formal training, he quickly learned on the job, covering news, celebrity events and concerts.
Today Rob shoots for Getty Images and several editorial clients. His work has been featured in major magazines and newspapers worldwide, advertisements and auctions, and as album artwork. He has served as the official photographer for many high profile events such as Lollapalooza, New York Fashion Week and the US Open.
