Robert Altman

Robert Altman began his distinguished career as a photographer having studied with Ansel Adams. Robert was hired by Rolling Stone magazine and became their head staff photographer.

He has published his work in a multitude of documentaries, books, magazines and newspapers.

Robert has exhibited widely in the Unites States and internationally, with shows in many cities, among them London and Paris. His work can be found in the permanent collections of The Library of Congress, The Smithsonian, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Kodak Rock Photography Collection.

In 2009 he was commissioned by Macy's to hang over 100 show window pieces in its New York flagship store in an exhibition called “Art Under Glass.”

His recent book of photography has received superlative reviews and in 2010 he was awarded a an honorary doctorate by the Digital Media Arts College.
