Photographer Jim Hendin had a photo studio on James Cousin and Outer Drive in Detroit. Motown bands would come in to do their photoshoots and they would play whatever they had record. The neighborhood kids loved having him there because they could sneak a listen to the next big Motown record and possibly meet the band.
On the day of this shoot The Jackson Five pulled up in one big car and the neighborhood kids went wild. Joe Jackson drove in with one of their uncles. Normally Hendin would leave the back door of his studio open to get a cross breeze but this time it was jam-packed with kids trying to get a look at the Jackson family.
